A number of Aluva town shopkeepers must be wondering what do I do with the cardboard cartons I take from them.One of the carton is now a shop for the kids a la ikatbag.
They even named it and it is now an upscale thattukada with menu card and cook. 
They serve a mean wholesome meal with pizza, noodles, strawberries and chicken fry most of them scraps sewn to food
The cake stand is made from another big cardboard carton with the cookies made by the kids themselves from salt dough.I painted them in acrylic colours after baking them almost to cinders.
The much played cardboard dollhouse in our house got a makeover recently with new doll furniture and two new dolls. But the doll house itself needed some rennovation as the upstairs floor had got warped. Too thin cardboard I suppose.the floor became too ueven for the furnitures to be steady. So a new padded floor was added.It is not yet painted but that doesnot bother continous play.
Another cardboard got to be pretty frames for selfportraits of the kids. Liyana's selfportrait is so cute. They decorated the frames with beads after colouring them with crayons.
